Local Authority

For our Local Authority clients we carry out VAT reviews, assist with partial exemption calculations and the general management of the 5% de minimis limit, advise and negotiate with Customs on partial exemption methods, provide a helpline to assist with day to day VAT queries, and provide training courses specific to the needs of those involved in Local Authority VAT.

We also provide training seminars for Local Authorities focusing on those VAT issues which give them the most concern, for example, business/non-business activities, partial exemption, the capital goods scheme, property transactions, partnership issues and outsourcing of activities.

In addition, we also provide a quarterly newsletter which contains all the latest Local Authority VAT news including Business Briefs and updates on HMCE Policy, Local Authority issues and recent VAT cases.
